Maybe I've just been using them wrong, but in all my playthroughs of Twisted Insurrection the Scorpion tanks just seem like cheap garbage.

They are good against light vehicles and anty flying spam (GDI rocketeer)at begining of game and later in larger groups. They are more mobile than Tank hunters. They are also good when mixed with Eclipse Heavy tanks.

Well, those were advantages I already understood, but whenever I use them against anything they just get devastated. I imagine that maybe I'm just using them in conjunction with the Eclipse groups wrong, though. Would a good strategy be to just send Eclipse tanks directly into the fray, and then use the Scorpions for a flanking attack once the battle has already commenced?

I've thought of the strategy before, but never really could execute it properly do to the pacing of the TS engine, and just the way units in pre-Generals CnC lack the ability to fire on the move.

There are no Tick Tanks in Twisted Insurrection it's an alternate timeline where Nod won the First Tiberium War.

Briefly, well GDI is a shadow of its former self struggling to survive a world where the Brotherhood of Nod has become the main superpower.
It seems GDI is on the brink of oblivion, when the super-corporation GloboTech, approaches General Owen with an offer.

During the years that follow, a mysterious Tiberium based explosion racks the Sarajevo Temple. Kane is missing presumed dead leaving The Brotherhood in the hands of the Inner Circle.
